Currently a Junior Engineer working in Origin Energy's LPG business unit primarily managing maintain and sustain LPG asset projects across the country. My goal as an engineer is to be a key player in the global energy transition towards net zero.
to do so, I have dedicated myself to learning and networking throughout my professional career and academic studies (yes, I was the awkward first year attending a networking session). Having worked with Origin Energy for over 2 years, volunteered in conservation organisations, working with and co-founding start-ups and programs, I have (and still am) acquired so many amazing networks, skills and knowledge.
Some highlights of my work:
- Junior Engineer/Intern at Origin Energy
- Chemical Engineering Intern at Campbell's Arnotts
- Co-founding the Engineering Power-Up Program
Bachelors of Engineering (Chemical) (Honours)
WAM: 81.7 (Distinction)
Courses highlight:
CEIC6789 – Data Driven Decision Making – High Distinction (89)
CEIC3000– Process Modelling & Analysis – High Distinction (85)
CEIC8204 – Business Management in Chemical Engineering – HighDistinction (87)

My journey with Origin firststarted as an Intern working out of Origin's LPG Facility in Port Botany,Australia's largest seaboard LPG terminal (at the time). Myresponsibilities primarily consisted of P&ID correction and fireprotection philosophy development for the site plus assisting other engineerswith project development for other terminals across Australia.
3 months later, I was assigned to the Generations Team as part of my internshiprotations, working for the Asset Management Team. There was given theopportunity to work on developing Site Specific Asset Management Plans for eachof Origin's 9 Power Stations in the NEM whilst developing bowtie analysis andconsolidating actions from recently completed process safety analysis ofOrigin's Eraring Power Station.
Based on my success in the LPG Team, I was recruited to continue myinvolvement on a part time basis (whilst completing full-time studies) todevelop a Philosophy that would guide the business towards investments in FireProtection assets. This philosophy was established against applicable Standards(AS1596, AS2419, NFPA 15), company asset history, industry best practiceand scientific journals.
Following the completion of my studies with UNSW, my employment with Origin continuesas I went from intern to junior engineer. During this time, my work primarilyrevolved around managing end-to-end maintain and sustain/growth projects forthe LPG Terminals across the country, some of which includes:
- Temporary repair of pitted pipework followed by fabricationand replacement
- Demolition of decommissioned site and transport of 40TLPG Tank
- Like-for-like replacement of 3.2ML Firewater Tank
- Upgrade of digital drawing management systems

Working with the RnD Team, my work was focused on understanding savory seasonings on a chemical level, developing tests and predicting their behaviour on the production line with the aim of flavouring and seasoning classic biscuits like SHAPES and CRACKER CHIPS more efficiently.
1 months into my placement, my curiosity brought me another project, to build a handheld torque meter that will test consistency of cream biscuits in the factory. The succession of this project will save the company over $14,000 per unit built.

Real Skills Education
Date: 01/12/2018 - 27/5/2019
Sydney and Singapore
Real Skills Education (RSE) is astudent-led organisation that aims to bridge the gap between the classroom andindustry for tertiary STEM students. My involvement spanned over 1 yearfor the planning and execution of a 6-month education program. This was organisedby my amazing team of 3 where we provide a unique learning opportunity for 28UNSW STEM Students.
The students were provided with online courses and in-person workshops with industry professionals for Python,AutoCAD and Arduino. The program concluded with a capstone 2-weeks in Singaporewhere the students completed a Hackathon with SGInnovate whilst attending workshops, networking, and mini-hackathons with over 10 companies including BMW and Google.
This program saw over $20,000 inrevenue for the organisation, funding over a year’s worth of programs and events. Furthermore, interviews and surveys from students and partners depicted high satisfaction levels and referral potentials.
